meeting on stage
moving in, moving on,
travelling forwards
towards change.

travelling abroad
hopping trains and
buses trusting in
our bond.

planning a new life
mapping out a 
future as friends,
husband and wife.

standing in the yard
vowing to each other 
love in easy times
and hard. 

we are

turning at the lights
looking up, smiling
in time as we pass 
out of sight.

texting after work
sharing story after
story how the world
is full of quirks. 

we are

having pricey drinks
loving on our kids;
laughing, not caring 
what other people think. 

we are 

filling up our hearts
staying in every moment
even as the next
one starts.
