commercials drowning people in yuletide

there's even long lines for shopping online

greeting cards from people you hate

while important mail is constantly late

making any plans is incredibly stressful

at least you look good in that little red dress though

parking lots filled with empty pockets

anxious tempers rising like July 1st rockets

good thing you just got your winter tires put on

surprising repairs made your account overdrawn

blinding snow falling- dark, wet, and "lovely"

but you can't leave your driveway without 2 hours of shovelling

traffic winds slowly behind crawling snowplows

yet we still hope to get home before New Year's eve somehow

wondering why it has to be like this 

every time it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
